"SBY's Bill of Destruction Damages the Beauty of Democracy" Dahnil said

Coordinator of Spokesperson for the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, condemned the destruction of the welcome bill of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the Democratic Party (PD) flag by unknown people in Pekanbaru, Riau. According to him, the action trampled on the value of peaceful and cool democracy which was being echoed in the 2019 Election.

"These are ways that irresponsible parties destroy the beauty of the democratic order that is being built," Dahnil Anzar said in a written statement on Saturday.

Dahnil said that the destruction did not only hurt the Democratic Party. But it should also be felt by all parties participating in the 2019 Election which have declared a cool campaign.
"Not only for the Democratic Party. This incident has also damaged the commitment of all political parties participating in the election," he said.

Nevertheless, the former Ketum PP Pemuda Muhammadiyah was reluctant to blame who the mastermind behind the destruction of the Democratic Party's attributes. He also asked the police to immediately investigate the incident thoroughly.

The police themselves have secured one suspected perpetrator of the destruction carried out in the early hours of this morning. The young man named Heryd Swanto (22) was arrested at 1:45 a.m. WIB. Until now, Heryd, is still being intensively examined for his motives.

"Anyone who does this must be immediately resolved. The success of democracy can work well if these kinds of things can be avoided," explained Dahnil.

"We certainly cannot guess what motives these people are doing. Let the police who complete this case professionally to clearly reveal the intent of violating this law," he added.
