Recapitulation of DPT Elections, Chairperson of KPU Opens Plenary Meeting
PojokWarta. The General Election Commission (KPU) held an open plenary meeting on the recapitulation of the 2nd Fixed Voter List (DPTHP-2). This meeting aims to establish and verify provincial level DPT.
The meeting began at around 2:35 p.m. at the Peninsula Tower, Palmerah, West Jakarta, Saturday. In this event, all KPU ranks and representatives from several political parties appeared.
"Bismillahirrahmanirrahim in the open peleno meeting of national reconciliation for the establishment of the DPTHP-2 in this case I am open to the public," said KPU Chair Arief Budiman when opening the meeting.
Before the event began, KPU Commissioner Viryan Aziz said the plenary meeting would conduct discussions with regional KPU, including Aceh. The plan, this recapitulation will be completed later this afternoon.
"Today, God willing, we will conduct an open plenary meeting of the national DPT recapitulation. We can convey it as follows, first, all city district KPUs and we hope that we can finish this afternoon," Viryan said.
He explained that the KPU in this meeting will verify and match data. "The principle is that the KPU in preparing the voters list conducts verification and matching and research activities. Every data received by our ranks is verified," Viryan said.
Previously, the KPU resigned the determination of the DPTHP for 30 days, since September 15, 2018. This was due to the KPU returning to make improvements and cleanup of multiple voter lists.
